PRICING: What am I paying for?
PRICING: What am I paying for?
When you shop with Never the Newest, you're not just buying a garment, but the convenience to shop secondhand online, from selected, inspected and sanitised items.
There are several factors that I take into consideration for pricing.
For each item:
- Condition
- Rarity
- Brand
- Original RRP
- Sourcing price
- Maintenance (i.e. repaired button, re-dyed)
General service:
- Sourcing
- Inspection
- Sanitisation
- Convenience
I am striving for a balance between fair pricing for you and for me.
Practically speaking, I have to ensure I can recoup sourcing and running costs. As a one person self funded operation, I also need a bit left over to pay myself a liveable wage.
For you, my goal is to offer you an easy answer to more sustainable and ethical shopping, without the time and effort required to sort through op-shop racks. I'll also save you from finding any nasty surprises inside a pants crotch (mercifully rare, but horrible when it happens).
If you find value in this service and joy from the fashion, then I hope the price feels just right.
SANITISATION: Is it clean?
SANITISATION: Is it clean?
Yes! All items are inspected and sanitised prior to sale.
In most cases, this means machine laundering with fabric sanitiser.
If an item is too fragile or structurally unsuitable for machine washing, I use an alternative such as sanitising alcohol spray or hand washing with disinfectant.
BNWT
All items that still have their original branded tags attached are treated with a sanitising spray. However, it is recommended to wash them before wearing. This goes for any new garments, wherever you buy them, as they can containing fabric finishing chemicals. New to your wardrobe? In the wash it goes.
COLOUR: Is the colour accurate?
COLOUR: Is the colour accurate?
Chances are, yes.
I do my best to accurately represent garment colours, in fact I probably spend too much time on this!
However, there is some variation between device screens, so I can't guarantee it will look exactly like what you see on your screen.
